What exactly does ForgeOps cover each year?

Is ForgeOps a company secretary service?
ForgeOps includes company secretary and registered address provided via our licensed TCSP partners, in compliance with the Hong Kong TCSP Ordinance. CompanyForge provides the strategy, grant advisory, and compliance oversight layer; our licensed partners handle the regulated filings.
When should we start ForgeOps?
Immediately after company formation — typically as a continuation of HK Launchpad or 出海 Landing Pack. Starting from month 1 means no gap in compliance coverage and your MPF timeline begins accumulating toward BUD Fund eligibility right away. Joining mid-year is fine too; we'll audit your existing records and pick up from there.
Does ForgeOps include grant application writing?
ForgeOps includes grant-pipeline management and eligibility advisory — we track windows, brief you on opportunities, and scope projects. Actual grant application preparation and submission is covered by our Funding Sprint package (HK$15,000–30,000 fixed + 8–12% success fee per application). Many ForgeOps clients engage a Funding Sprint once they reach BUD or HKSTP eligibility — that's the intended path.
What happens to the ForgeScan credit?
If you ran a ForgeScan (HK$8,000–15,000) before signing up for ForgeOps, 50% of the ForgeScan fee is credited toward your ForgeOps subscription in the same engagement year. The credit is applied automatically — no paperwork needed.
Can I switch tiers mid-year?
You can upgrade to a higher tier at any point in the year — we'll pro-rate the difference. Downgrades take effect at the next annual renewal. If your situation changes significantly mid-year (e.g., you suddenly become BUD-eligible earlier than expected), we'll discuss the right tier for the situation.
What is "substance" and why does it matter?
Substance refers to genuine Hong Kong business operations: real directors making real decisions in HK, real staff on MPF, a real office or registered address used for actual business. Substance requirements tightened significantly in 2024 — companies without it risk losing access to banking, HKSTP/Cyberport admission, and BUD Fund eligibility. ForgeOps helps clients build and document real substance over time, not manage a nominal presence.
Do you work with companies already incorporated elsewhere?
Yes. If your HK company was formed by another agent but you need structured compliance and grant advisory going forward, we onboard you with a baseline compliance audit and take over from there. Pricing is the same as for new clients.
