Live Company Elder Care Hong Kong Registered Grant-Ready

From concept to compliant, fundable
operating company — forged by us

Kangleling 康乐龄 is our own elder-care soft-food venture — built, registered, and operated in Hong Kong. It is not a deck or a demo. It is live proof that CompanyForge can take a sector idea all the way to a real company with real substance, real compliance, and real grant eligibility.

The challenge

Dysphagia — difficulty swallowing — affects a significant share of Hong Kong's rapidly ageing population. Elderly residents and their families face a shortage of nutritious, palatable, texture-modified food that meets clinical soft-diet standards. Commercial options were either imported, expensive, or clinically unappealing.

Starting in this market meant solving several problems at once: building a credible operating entity that could pass hospital-procurement scrutiny; navigating HK food safety and labelling regulations; laying an MPF and company-secretary foundation that would keep the company grant-eligible as it grew; and doing all of this with a lean founding team and no legacy infrastructure.

The founding team also needed the company to be built for the long term — real substance (decisions made in HK, real registered address, real directors, real staff engagement) rather than a dormant shelf structure. Substance rules in HK tightened in 2024, and the company had to be investable and audit-ready from the start.

What we built

Entity formation & company secretarial setup

Incorporated a private limited company in Hong Kong via our licensed TCSP partners. Established a proper registered address, appointed a licensed company secretary, and filed all statutory documents with the Companies Registry on time. The company was set up to be BUD Fund-eligible at month 12 — MPF contributions began from the first payroll run.

HK Launchpad Licensed TCSP partners MPF from day 1
Banking introduction & financial structure

Introduced the company to a business banking partner through our network. Established HKD operating accounts and set up an initial financial structure compatible with grant reporting requirements — separate project cost tracking from the first invoice.

Product development & regulatory compliance

Developed a range of texture-modified soft-food products meeting IDDSI (International Dysphagia Diet Standardisation Initiative) frameworks. Worked through HK food labelling requirements and established product documentation for institutional procurement. Real product decisions, real regulatory filings — not paper operations.

IDDSI Compliance HK Food Safety Institutional Ready
Grant readiness & funding advisory (self-applied)

Assessed eligibility across HK funding schemes relevant to a health-tech food venture: HKSTP incubation (approximately 745 new admissions per year), Cyberport CCMF (up to HK$100,000 for digital health components), and BUD Fund once the company crossed the 1-year operating + 6-month MPF threshold. Built the internal grant-readiness checklist that now forms our standard client diagnostic.

Ongoing compliance & annual filings

Maintained annual return (NAR1) filings, audited accounts, and company secretary records — the exact statutory rhythm we now manage for clients under our ForgeOps Subscription. Every compliance event is tracked and executed before deadline, with no late-fee exposure.

What this proves for your company

Kangleling is not a consulting exercise. We built it ourselves, with real money, real regulatory exposure, and real deadlines. Every service in our client packages is something we have done — and continue to do — for our own operating company.

Proof, not promises
When we advise you, we speak as operators.
  • We know how long HK company formation actually takes — and where it stalls. We have been through it with our own entity via licensed TCSP partners.
  • We know the BUD Fund 1-year / 6-month MPF eligibility clock because we started ours on day one and hit the window. We structure your setup the same way.
  • We know what a grant assessor looks for in a HK operating company — real directors, real decisions made in HK, real bank activity — because we built Kangleling to those standards, not to a minimum threshold.
  • We know compliance deadlines feel administrative until you miss one. Our ForgeOps clients inherit the same tracking system we use internally — NAR1s filed before the penalty window, every year.
  • We know how to position a health-tech or food-tech venture for HKSTP incubation — we have mapped the eligibility criteria against a real product line, not a hypothetical deck.

If you are building a company that needs to be fundable, compliant, and genuinely operational in Hong Kong — whether you are a mainland China founder going 出海 or a HK SME seeking grant capital — Kangleling is the benchmark we hold our own work to.
